Heather Bluemel

Heather is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist who grew up on the East End of Long Island and has lived in Manhattan for the past 11 years. She attended the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she participated in multiple off-site clinic opportunities including the VA Hospital, Mt. Sinai Cancer Center, Housing Works and NYU Hospital’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities Center.

Prior to completing her Master’s degree at PCOM, Heather attended Boston University, where she majored in Business Law with the intent to go to law school. After deciding that path wasn’t right for her she began working in the Compliance Department at Pfizer, Inc. where she assisted with Internal Investigations to ensure that sales reps were correctly promoting products and then moved on to help design a proactive monitoring group designed to identify risk areas. It was during her time at Pfizer that she developed an interest in health and ways to treat the human body. While working there, she completed a year-long health and nutrition coaching program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, after which she knew she wanted to switch her focus to learning more about a natural approach to health. While figuring out the next step, she took advantage of an amazing travel opportunity to Southeast Asia, where she was coincidentally told about PCOM by an alumni practicing in Bali. After returning, she applied to the program and never looked back.

She is extremely excited to be able to practice in the city she has called home for so long and looks forward to providing her patients with a beautiful and holistic approach to medicine.

Kristin Cash

Kristin is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Registered Yoga Teacher. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. As part of her clinical training, she worked in multiple hospital settings, including NYU’s Lutheran Hospital for Labor and Delivery, Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Cancer Center, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. During her graduate studies, Kristin worked at the YinOva Center in Manhattan, where she was able to broaden her knowledge of treating women’s health and fertility.

Her love of understanding the minds and behaviors of others led her to pursue a degree in Psychology, ultimately guiding her to pursue Acupuncture. She appreciates the beauty and benefits of molding psycho-emotional health, in a more hands-on therapeutic approach.

She completed Yoga Teacher Training at Yandara Yoga Institute, in Mexico. Kristin hopes to combine Yoga with Acupuncture, Diet and Lifestyle modifications to care for multiple conditions including psycho-emotional, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and women’s health.
