Sarah Biffen

Sarah Biffen is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified Herbalist. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she earned both her Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Acupuncture & Traditional Oriental Medicine.

After moving to New York City in her early twenties, Sarah worked at large media companies such as Martha Stewart and The Wall Street Journal. Being from a family of doctors, nurses, and healers, she soon saw this path was not for her. After developing stubborn health problems from which she found little to no relief, she discovered Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine. She quickly realized that she had found her life’s work. She left media behind, and wholeheartedly embraced a new journey into holistic medicine.

Alongside her private practice, Sarah has worked in a variety of clinical settings including NYU Hospital's Initiative for Women with Disabilities and The Housing Works Association Medical Center. She is an advocate and proponent of integrative medicine and strives to develop a more cohesive connection between medical theories and practices. She holds certification as a Health Coach from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she completed a one-year training focused on nutrition and lifestyle guidance. During her graduate career, Sarah worked at the renowned YinOva Center in New York City - one of the premier centers for Chinese Medicine and Women’s Health in the country. There she gained valuable insight into treatment, and how the female body can be dynamically supported and strengthened with Chinese Medicine.

Sarah is passionate about whole-body medicine. She utilizes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Nutritional Guidance, Lifestyle Therapies, and Bodywork to restore balance and promote optimal health. Her work addresses a vast array of conditions including pain relief, gastrointestinal disorders, women’s health, fertility, autoimmune disorders, and psycho-emotional well-being.

Heather Bluemel

Heather is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Board Certified Herbalist who grew up on the East End of Long Island and has lived in Manhattan for the past 11 years. She attended the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she participated in multiple off-site clinic opportunities including the VA Hospital, Mt. Sinai Cancer Center, Housing Works and NYU Hospital’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities Center.

Prior to completing her Master’s and Doctoral degree at PCOM, Heather attended Boston University, where she majored in Business Law with the intent to go to law school. After deciding that path wasn’t right for her she began working in the Compliance Department at Pfizer, Inc. where she assisted with Internal Investigations to ensure that sales reps were correctly promoting products and then moved on to help design a proactive monitoring group designed to identify risk areas. It was during her time at Pfizer that she developed an interest in health and ways to treat the human body. While working there, she completed a year-long health and nutrition coaching program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, after which she knew she wanted to switch her focus to learning more about a natural approach to health. While figuring out the next step, she took advantage of an amazing travel opportunity to Southeast Asia, where she was coincidentally told about PCOM by an alumni practicing in Bali. After returning, she applied to the program and never looked back.

She is extremely excited to be able to practice in the city she has called home for so long and looks forward to providing her patients with a beautiful and holistic approach to medicine.

Kristin Cash

Kristin is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Registered Yoga Teacher. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She then went on to complete her Yoga Teacher Training at Yandara Yoga Institute, in Mexico. As part of her clinical training, she worked in multiple hospital settings, including NYU’s Lutheran Hospital for Labor and Delivery, Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Cancer Center, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. During her graduate studies, Kristin worked at the YinOva Center in Manhattan, where she was able to broaden her knowledge of treating women’s health and fertility.

Her love of understanding the minds and behaviors of others led her to study Psychology, ultimately guiding her to pursue Acupuncture. She appreciates the beauty and benefits of molding psycho-emotional health, in a more hands-on therapeutic approach.

Kristin's mission is to support patients in restoring their beauty from the inside-out. Not only does she encourage healthy aging through facial rejuvenation, but she understands the importance of treating a patient’s emotions as well as digestive and musculoskeletal health. She utilizes acupuncture, yoga, and lifestyle modifications to treat the whole health of the patient through mind, body and spirit – letting their inner beauty shine through.
